This course fulfils the academic requirements needed to register as a Class 3 Assistant Agent in New South Wales. Upon completion, you will be eligible to apply for a Certificate of Registration, allowing you to begin working in the real estate industry as an Assistant Agent under the supervision of a licensed agent in roles such as sales support, property management, or administration.

How long does this program take?

Successful completion will depend on your current skills, knowledge, and the time you have available to study. 

We offer flexible study options to help you achieve your chosen career goals. 

The program is composed of the following five units:

  • CPPREP4001 Prepare for professional practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4002 Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4003 Access and interpret legislation in real estate
  • CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
  • CPPREP4005 Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts

Successful completion of the Assistant Agent program is a mandatory requirement to work in the real estate industry.

Once you’ve successfully completed your certificate, you can work in various roles under the guidance of a licensed real estate agent.

These roles include residential and commercial property sales, administration, buyer’s agent and real estate marketing.

Completion of the five prescribed units satisfy the educational requirements to apply for a Certificate of Registration with Fair Trading NSW, to start working as an assistant agent.

Under the guidance of a licensed real estate agent, an assistant agent can:

  • assist in sales of residential and commercial property
  • assist in real estate marketing campaigns
  • assist in property management services
  • assist in buyer’s advocacy services

Once you’ve successfully completed your certificate, you can work in various roles under the guidance of a licensed real estate agent. Our professional practice is the best preparation for your new career.

These roles include residential and commercial property sales, administration, buyer’s agent and real estate marketing.

There are no formal entry requirements for the Assistant Agent program.

However, prior to commencing the course you will be required to complete an LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) assessment.

You will also be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. If you do not currently have one, you will be able to register at usi.gov.au.

Our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) options provide you with acknowledgement of previous study, skills and experience.
