CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice

This program meets the educational requirements to apply for a Class 2 Real Estate Agent licence in New South Wales. Upon successful completion, you’ll be eligible to apply to work as a licensed real estate agent, handling sales, property management, and client relationships under the supervision of a Class 1 Agent.

The program is composed of the following eighteen units:

Industry Preparation Units

  • CPPREP4001 Prepare for professional practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4002 Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4003 Access and interpret legislation in real estate
  • CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
  • CPPREP4005 Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts

Property Sales Units

  • CPPREP4101 Appraise property for sale or lease
  • CPPREP4102 Market property
  • CPPREP4103 Establish vendor relationships
  • CPPREP4104 Establish buyer relationships
  • CPPREP4105 Sell property

Property Management Units

  • CPPREP4121 Establish landlord relationships
  • CPPREP4122 Manage tenant relationships
  • CPPREP4123 Manage tenancy
  • CPPREP4124 End tenancy
  • CPPREP4125 Transact in trust accounts

Elective Units

  • CPPREP5010 Manage customer service activities in the property industry
  • CPPREP5004 Manage a safe workplace in the property industry
  • CPPREP5008 Market the property agency

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be issued a qualification known as the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.

Successful completion of CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice program will satisfy the educational requirements to apply for a Class 2 licence with NSW Fair Trading.

Once you have successfully completed your program, you can work in various roles under the guidance of a Class 1 licensed real estate agent.  These roles include residential and commercial property sales, property manager, and buyer’s agent.

Completion of this program will enable you to list and sell residential, commercial and industrial real estate. Completion of this program will also enable you to work in property management or as a buyer’s agent.

You will still be required to work under the supervision of a Class 1 agent. 

There are no formal entry requirements for this program.

However, prior to commencing the course you will be required to complete an LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) assessment.

You will also be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. If you do not currently have one, you will be able to register at usi.gov.au.

While this program satisfies the educational requirements of a Class 2 licence, you should also check NSW Fair Trading’s eligibility requirements. (see here)

Our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) options provide you with acknowledgement of previous study, skills and experience.
